01 — Logline

After years of building a case against her abuser, a woman with dissociative identity disorder is coerced by the FBI into an undercover sting, infiltrating his clinic to turn her trauma response into a lethal psychological trap.

She knows exactly who he is.

He has no idea who she is.

02 — The film

I · The operation

After years of building a case against her abuser, Ava is coerced by the FBI into an undercover sting, entering the clinic of Dr. Logan Lesnar to capture his signature phrase on a wire.

II · The session

Seated in the clinical cold, Ava maintains absolute control while Lesnar remains unaware of who she is. Veronica holds the clinical boundary while Beth erupts into raw confrontation. The gold watch on his wrist bridges two haunting eras.

III · The admission

Drunk on power, Lesnar lets his clinical mask slip as he locks the door and leans in. The wire needs one sentence from him. Her mind against his ego.

Every word is being heard.

03 — Director’s statement

“Do I ever scare you?”

A patient with DID to her psychiatrist, four days after Split opened at number one

That question is where this film starts. People with dissociative identity disorder are overwhelmingly the victims of violence, not its authors. Cinema has spent decades insisting on the opposite: it took the most frightening thing it could imagine, gave it their diagnosis, and sold it back to them as their portrait.

Admission inverts the room. The patient sits in the chair where the movies always put the monster. The monster sits in the chair marked doctor.

I want an audience to walk out understanding that the person they were taught to fear came through something they would not have survived, and is still here, and is still kind.
